New CV digital health journal names founding editor-in-chief

The Heart Rhythm Society and Elsevier have partnered to launch the Cardiovascular Digital Health Journal, a peer-review, open-access publication that will debut in July.

The journal, which will focus on “the rapidly emerging field of digital medicine across all areas of cardiology,” according to a release, will publish every other month starting this summer. It will highlight both research papers and reviews concerning artificial intelligence, signal processing, monitoring, CV wearables, implantable devices, disease detection and data analytics.

David D. McManus, MD, MSci, has been named as the founding editor-in-chief of CDHJ and hails from the University of Massachusetts, where he teaches.

The journal is currently looking for editorial board members and will accept applications through Feb. 17. Manuscript submission will open Feb. 24.
