ScImage utilizes secure proprietary communication protocols and data transferred to and from PicomCloud is secured with AES 1024 bit encryption. Additionally, PicomSentry is protected with BitLocker hard drive encryption to prevent the data from being compromised if the device is lost or stolen.
An innovative leader for more than 20 years, ScImage provides a flexible, extendable, and scalable architecture that delivers true interoperability and expedites critical medical decisions. Integrating ScImage’s flexible PICOM365 architecture, which can accommodate all imaging specialties, providing image review, reporting and delivery within a common framework, expands the capabilities of EHR platforms.
“PicomSentry is a miniature security appliance for the Picom365 Cloud PACS infrastructure, designed to help small to medium practices with limited IT resources by removing the need for customers to supply and configure hardware. Providing full PACS functionality, PicomSentry gives plug and play access to an image enabled EMR to safely manage imaging procedures and provide efficient diagnostic reporting and report dissemination. PicomSentry can also be used in a secure hospital environment to simplify the process of posting studies to Picom365 for image sharing and archiving,” said ScImage’s founder, Sai Raya, PhD.
