UNC-Rex Healthcare opens bigger cardiac center on Raleigh campus

UNC-Rex Healthcare is set to open a $235 million North Carolina Heart and Vascular Center on its Raleigh campus, reports WRAL.com.

The center will have eight stories and more than 100 patient rooms, which are 20 to 25 percent larger than ones in the current hospital.

It will also be a teaching space for cardiology students who can watch procedures at the hospital or remotely using live video streaming technology.
