Covidien releases updated peripheral stent in EU

Covidien has made available its EverFlex+ self-expanding peripheral stent system in Europe.

The EverFlex+ peripheral stent is the next generation of EverFlex stent technology for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease. The system broadens Covidien's stent portfolio used to treat lesions in the superficial femoral artery (SFA) and proximal popliteal artery.

EverFlex was launched globally in March 2006 for peripheral arterial disease and stenting for the SFA.
