Covidien

Covidien (Booth 816) is featuring products for the Cath Lab, including contrast media related drugs, power injectors and steerable guidewires to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Covidien is highlighting Ultraject prefilled syringes and Angiomat Illumena contrast delivery systems, as well as the Wholey Hi-Torque brand of steerable guidewires.

Covidien’s Optiray (ioversol injection) is lower osmolar, lower viscosity and nonionic, which is now available in radiofrequency identification (RFID) enabled Ultraject prefilled syringes. The RFID-enabled Optivantage dual-head CT contrast delivery injector can be used with Optiray contrast media in prefilled syringes. Optiray contrast agent is injectible and intended for intravascular administration.

The Angiomat Illumena contrast delivery system offers true multimodality. With one button, the user can switch between cardio, angio and CT modes. The ability to accommodate Ultraject prefilled syringes may improve patient throughput, help reduce operator costs and enhance patient care.
