Morris Innovative

Morris Innovative (Booth 1473) is introducing its Femoral Introducer Sheath & Hemostasis (FISH) vascular closure device, an application of the clinically proven biomaterial SIS (small intestinal submucosa) for sealing arterial catheterization access sites.

FISH is a biological closure device that prevents scar tissue and inflammation, resisting infection at the arteriotomy.

Also, the FISH device introduces technology that requires only a single sheath for both the introducer and vascular closure device. FISH is deployed in a way that compresses from inside the artery to avoid nerve impingement and discomfort to the patient.

Several key trends were evident at the Radiological Society of North America 2024 meeting, including new CT and MR technology and evolving adoption of artificial intelligence.

Ron Blankstein, MD, professor of radiology, Harvard Medical School, explains the use of artificial intelligence to detect heart disease in non-cardiac CT exams.

Eleven medical societies have signed on to a consensus statement aimed at standardizing imaging for suspected cardiovascular infections.
