New England Journal of Medicine editor-in-chief defends publication

Cardiologist Eric Topol, MD, and other leading physicians and researchers have criticized the New England Journal of Medicine in recent months, ProPublica reports. 

Critics say the journal has dismissed dissent, neglected error correction and generally lagged behind in medical research transparency. 

Jeffrey M. Drazen, MD, the journal’s editor-in-chief, defended the publication in an interview with ProPublica and its policy on conflicts of interest. Read more at the link below:
