Sg2 introduces enterprise clinical performance tool

Sg2, a provider of analytics solutions, has released Insight, a system that measures clinical performance across the patient continuum, including community-based, acute and recovery/rehabilitation care settings.

The product is geared to help healthcare institutions weather the shift from inpatient to outpatient services, according to the Skokie, Ill.-based company.  Insight systems are available at the enterprise level and for four key service lines: cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedics and neurosciences.

The system is integrated with the hospital’s IT system, which allows for direct data uploading and reporting, Sg2 said. Performance is evaluated across an expanse of metrics that cover operations, finance, clinical outcomes, physician/staff and market share. The product also allows facilities to compare their performance with other institutions of varying sizes.
