American College of Cardiology (ACC) President Edward T.A. Fry, MD, an interventional and general cardiologist at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis and chair of the Ascension National Cardiovascular Service Line, spoke with us about technology trends seen during ACC.22.
These included new advanced cardiac imaging to help with better diagnoses, advances in structural heart interventions and better preventative care to help keep patients out of the hospital.
"There was a whole cornucopia of things at ACC.22, from technology to basic science, from pharmacology to devices, from procedures to epidemiology," Fry said.
He added that it was great to have all the technology all in one place at the ACC show floor after two years of virtual meetings.
"It was so great to have those immediate reactions, to bounce your impressions off your colleagues and deal with that in a very human and interactive way," he said.
