The Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) is now accepting applications for the 8th Annual Toshiba Young Investigator Awards (YIA). Underwritten by Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc., the YIA supports the professional and clinical development of top radiology residents and cardiology fellows within five years of completing a training program.

Each applicant must submit an abstract and a minimanuscript of 1,000 words concerning research related to the technology or clinical applications of cardiovascular CT.

Five (5) finalists will be selected, and each will give an oral presentation at SCCT's 9th Annual Scientific Meeting, July 10–13, 2014, in San Diego, Calif. All five finalists will be granted a complimentary year of SCCT membership, a complimentary registration for the 9th Annual Scientific Meeting, and a $1,000 travel stipend to attend the meeting. Two winners will be announced at the meeting, and their manuscripts will be highlighted on the 9th Annual Scientific Meeting website and will be eligible for priority peer-reviewed publication in the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (JCCT).
