Hospital allegedly lied about COVID-19 patient’s death

A hospital in India has been accused of lying about the death of a COVID-19 patient.

New Noor Hospital, located in in the suburb of Kurla, allegedly listed an acute myocardial infarction as the cause of the patient’s death and did not mention COVID-19 at all. In addition, the body was released to the patient’s family.

Protocols for the area do not allow bodies to be handed over to the deceased’s family if there was a confirmed case of COVID-19. Since the body was released in this instance, the family members are now under quarantine.
