North Central Heart, a subsidiary of Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has named Jim Gangelhoff the new CEO of its heart institute, reports ABC News’ Sioux Falls affiliate.
Gangelhoff assumed his duties on May 5, but North Central announced his appointment just yesterday. He has more than 35 years of experience in nursing and healthcare administration and has led leadership roles at other major health systems.
“I’ve always considered North Central Heart Institute to be the premier cardiovascular medical group in South Dakota and I am honored to have been chosen to help advance the group’s tradition of excellence,” Gangelhoff said. “I look forward to working with the physicians and staff of North Central Heart and Avera Heart Hospital in helping them deliver quality cardiovascular care to the patients we serve.”
