Toshiba America Medical Systems is introducing 32 element cardiac and head coils for its Vantage Titan MR line.

The works in progress, available on the Vantage Titan 1.5T MR and the 510k-pending Vantage Titan 3T MR, are designed to improve image quality and speed, stated Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba.

The 32 element coils provide spatial and temporal resolution for advanced cardiac and neuro imaging, the company said. The 32 element cardiac coil allows higher signal-to-noise ratio and improves image quality.

The cardiac and head coils build upon the Vantage Atlas system, which integrates the coils into the table and enables feet-first imaging for many exams, Toshiba added.
