Z-Medica's QuikClot to be distributed in Nordic countries

Vingmed and Mediplast, two Swedish medical device distributors, will have the right to distribute Z-Medica’s QuikClot portfolio of hemostatic agents throughout Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Under the terms of agreement, Vingmed will distribute Z-Medica’s product throughout the specialties of cardiology and interventional radiology, among others, while Mediplast will distribute the products to hospital and EMS markets.

Earlier this month, Wallingford, Conn.-based Z-Medica entered into a distribution agreement with Romed to distribute the QuikClot portfolio throughout Belgium.

The QuikClot portfolio received a CE mark in November 2009.
